Hard hat no longer required
As City Hall and
the Ulster Museum reopen this month after multi million pound
refurbishment projects, Belfast Visitor & Convention Bureau
took the opportunity to get a sneak preview of both for 23
conference ambassadors as well as uncovering other hidden gems
around the city. The latest Conference Ambassador Programme
event aims to encourage professionals and academics to use their
influence in bring their association conference to Belfast.
In keeping up with new developments, BVCB’s
Conference Ambassador Executive Lindsey Williamson knows how
important it is to keep conference ambassadors informed:
"This event is about ‘thinking outside the
box’, on what the city has to offer in terms of unique conference
venues and unusual social programme suggestions but adding an
element of fun into day. We want to inspire our ambassadors,
those who work tirelessly to bring their conferences to
Belfast."
One such ambassador,
Karen Fraser of the University of Ulster found the tour
enlightening:
"A thoroughly enjoyable day, well organised,
and lots of ideas for future conferences, the venues were
superb and the hospitality hard to beat. We are armed with
knowledge and looking forward to using it!"
