Fermanagh is a true lakeland, a place where water and land embrace each other, creating a richly varied landscape that is both intimate and invigorating.
It won't take you long to appreciate its many delights - lakes and rivers with fish; magnificent caves and subterranean waterways; forest parks and nature reserves; superb stately homes and much much more.
In Fermanagh you will find endless things to see and do. Over one third of the region is covered in fish-filled pure water and cruising is obviously one of the major activities that Fermanagh has to offer and the lakes and rivers will take you through scenery that you will never experience anywhere else in the world.
As well as self skippered cruisers, the area offers a number of excellent waterbus and tour boats which can take up to 50 passengers - this provides a fabulous opportunity to visit some of the many islands, one of which is Devenish Island, an ancient monastic dwelling site.
The world famous Belleek Pottery has a superb visitor centre, museum and restaurant and offers visitors guided tours all year round whilst Fermanagh is also the home of the Marble Arch Caves, the only cave system in the north of Ireland open to the public. Superb stately homes, museums, craft centres and dozens of other tourist attractions will leave you spoilt for choice.
As a conference destination, Fermanagh offers something that little bit different. Set against a backdrop of peace and tranquility, superb lakeland scenery - it is an unforgettable location. The region can offer some luxury appointed and unique conference venues - from recently renovated and purpose built facilities to an ancestral stately home and even a venue on an island in the heart of the lakeland.
