Coordination Team for Cabernet - (European Brownfield Regeneration Network) - and Organiser of CABERNET 2005: International Conference on Managing Urban Land (13-15 April 2005)

Added - Friday 31 March 2006

'Choosing a host city for an international scientific conference is always a very tricky decision. The quality of the venue, accommodation and the hospitality of the city all significantly impact on the success of the event. The members of the CABERNET Network (European Expert Network on Brownfield Regeneration) and the delegates of CABERNET 2005: International Conference on Managing Urban Land were delighted that the organising committee chose the Waterfront Hall, Belfast as the location for their conference.

All our delegates considered Laganside Corporation and Belfast City Officials to be superb hosts. Their experience of Belfast was a of a modern, sophisticated and welcoming city and this undoubtedly contributed to the success of the CABERNET event. The conference facilities were excellent - some of the highest quality across Europe. When organising an international event, the CABERNET management team encouraged organisations to take a second look at Belfast. The city's venues match a very professional approach with excellent hospitality, in order to deliver highly successful and enjoyable events'.
