Flying the flag for Canadian visitors

t_Canadian visitors.JPG 2007 got off to a strong start with
Northern Ireland welcoming a group of
senior executives from Canadian travel
companies specialising in incentive travel.
Guests were treated to a VIP Dinner at
Hillsborough Castle with the Duke and
Duchess of Abercorn, Lord and Lady
Dunleath, and Minister for Tourism Maria
Eagle.
Day two was highlighted by lunch with
Lord and Lady Dunleath at Ballywalter
Park Mansion House and Afternoon Tea
with Lady Dufferin at Clandeboye Estate.
Then on to Belfast for a drinks reception
at Queen’s University Belfast followed
by dinner and entertainment at Mourne
Seafood Restaurant courtesy of BVCB.
And the highlight - a Gala Dinner and
intimate VIP Concert by Van Morrison at
the magnifi cent Culloden Estate & Spa.
This trip marked the fi rst time the Canadian
presidents had ever travelled together – a
real coup for Northern Ireland.

visit has created a tremendous buzz in
our market and Northern Ireland is now
fi rmly on the radar as a ‘must consider’
destination for conference and incentive
business.
