Added - Friday 25 January 2008

BELFAST TITANIC CONVENTION
The Belfast Titanic Convention will be held 27th - 29th March 2008.
• The Titanic Convention will appeal to both a national and international audience and will offer a daily programme of tours, talks and performances. Pre and post convention tours of Northern Ireland can be arranged for delegates taking in the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum and the world famous Giant’s Causeway. Individual packages can be organized for delegates wishing to extend their trip to take in other parts of Northern Ireland - the historic walls of Derry, the Lakelands of Fermanagh, the beautiful mountains of Mourne as well as many superb golf and leisure facilities to be explored.
• The Titanic Convention will feature key note speakers and experts to educate and entertain attendees about the Titanic story from its conception to the present day.
• This convention will concentrate on memorabilia and oral history from local participation, providing a personal and professional historical presentation of the most famous liner in the world.
The Belfast Titanic Convention will be held in the Titanic Quarter especially in the historic Administration Building where the Drawing offices are located and in W5, located at the Odyssey Arena and will include:
• Exhibitions of Titanic memorabilia from all over the world with the emphasis on local contributions.
• Lectures and seminars on past histories and current events such as dives to the wreck, from Titanic experts
• Future plans for the Titanic and shipyard area
• Tours of the Titanic Quarter including the H&W Administration Building where the plans for the Titanic were drawn
The convention follows on the success of the first Titanic and Nomadic Convention which took place in Belfast in April 2007.
